The Himalayas is a location bearer of as many faces as the faces of its mountains. It is a territory of physical adventure but also a location for intellectual and spiritual reflexion. The villages are like gardens suspended above the mountains. The Himalays population maintains a delicate natural balance by breeding yaks, goats and sheep and by cultivating barley, wheat, buckwheat, millet and rice. Each angle is filled with myths and legends. Religion is the only common denominator, the engine which rules each activity and istant of the day, rendering it a pulsating universe. Prayer and meditation blend in a fatalistic vision of existence.
